Oldest Quran parchment found in Birmingham Subhanallah!!!

Postby ZubeirAwal » Wed Jul 22, 2015 7:40 pm

It was collected by an Iraqi during the 1920's and it was left in the storage library of manuscripts at the University of Birmingham, they carbon dated it and it amazingly gives 98% age range between 586-645 C.E!!! The parchment is a reading of Surah Taha, revealed in Makkah, this could be the parchment that Umar RA read at his sister's house where his heart transformed, Subhanallah my eyes flow with tears because this is evidence that the Qur'an has remained as it is, and because we have something precious something that the Prophet (saw) dictated because we know when wahi came upon him he ordered a scribe to write what was revealed, Alhamdulilah!

Allahu Akbar!

 the qur'an

The way I was so happy on Eid day, I thought to myself, Islam isn't even a religion, it is a way of life. It is my life.

Definitely looks the part

There's no dots and 7arakat

So definitely written either during the Prophet (saw) life or during the years of khilafa rashidun

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction. (Surah Nisa: Verse 82)
