Take a break.
Was in your position a 3 years ago, lost my drive and couldn't figure out why I was studying what I was studying. It reflected in my grades, attitude, everything... in fact thats how I found this site
Alhamdulilah, after 2years worth of denial and praying loads for guidance, last year, I decided to sit out of school for a full year. I figured, it was pointless to continue feeling useless, bad grades, no drive nothing - vicious cycle.
You could use that time to re-examine your life, find what makes you happy, look for
FEASIBLE alternatives if you're trying to opt out and most of all relax. Alhamdulilah, turns out I was still hell bent on studying/working in the field I was initially in. If anything, I'm more energized, focused and with newly formed habits cultivated in that year like taking online quran classes.
I know everyone above means well by asking about your plan B.... sometimes, there just isn't isn't one.
You just need to sit down with your parents, tell it like it is. As someone above said, they want whats best for you. In my case I was pleasantly surprised, they welcomed it alhamdulilah. They knew it was a matter of time. I was burnt out. Tbh I only realized after my mum pointed out that I'd never really taken a break of more than 2 months since I joined school (7yrs).....except once after high school for 6 months, even then I was studying coding for 'fun'.
Anyway, all best in shaa Allah. Do whats best for you and your future. Ultimately,
you get to live with the decisions
you make.
