I remember last year my family and I were driving to Chicago. We left MN in the evening and as soon as we got out of MN my brother wanted to stop for coffee. And the whole family decided to buy snacks at this gas station in the middle of nowhere. I refused to get out. I locked all the doors in the car and i was reading ayatul kursi lool. My family had a whole new material to joke about that month looool.

Notice cadaan people always run to the danger zone. They love the thrill lol

Years back I use to chill at my friends flat till the early hours. Night buses were few and far between and I was too broke to take a cab.
I had two choices: 1) Cut across a golf course to my home...about 1km straight.
2)Walk the long way round.....about 3km.

I'd walk along the street for about 0.5km before heading into the golf course. The lights would shine into the golf course for the first 100m, after that it would become darker and darker, eventually turning pitch black.
I remember one particular night.....there was no moon and I swear you could barely see your hand in front of your face. You could hear the wind rustling through the trees and bushes, and a crunching sound under step as I made my way along the gravel path.
I got about half way through the golf course when I hear something moving through the bushes behind me......I figured it was a fox or some other animal and continued on. Then I hear the unmistakable crunch of someone/something walking along the path behind me. I tried to reassure sure myself it was my imagination.....then the crunching sound quickened and got louder. There was clearly someone/something bearing down on me.
To say I was scared shitless doesn't do justice to the terror I felt in my heart. Suffice to say I took off and could hear my pursuers (I think there was more than one), behind me. I came flying round the final bend towards the exit.......to my horror the gate was closed.....I could see it clearly from about 50m out because of the street lights. I knew I had only one chance to clear that gate before whatever was behind me caught me.
I bore down on the fence like a 100m sprinter.......leaping up onto the gate (it was about 2.5m high). With my chest on the top, and my hands on the other side, I threw my legs up and over the gate in one motion . For a brief moment I was upside down on the street side of the gate and could see who or what was pursuing me. As soon as my feet hit the street I kept running till I got home.

The moral of this true story folks.......take the long way home. :)
PS some time later....about a year, a dead body was found on the golf course, the murderer was never apprehended. :o

I remember as an 18 year old security guard, my company placed me at a construction site way out into the countryside. It was graveyard position and no person in sight. At night while I was doing my rounds, a pack of coyotes appeared right in front of me and I just backed up.

Another time at 4am, some guy was walking through the bushes and scared the ish out of me. Who the hell walks around in the middle of nowhere that late.
