I did see guys holding hands, but it was more common to see men holding their friends upper arm (especially among odayaal) while walking. Didn't make much of it, they have a different culture. If you told them that it's gay they'd probably square up with you

50 gabays & mahmahs will tell them otherwise fuck them arab wannabes.

Dressing like Saudi people and now holding hands like gay arab and Indians.

This is not coming from western mindset or viewpoint! It is somali view point and mindset Wale.

The weirdest thing I noticed about Somalia is that around 12 o'clock a loud siren alarm goes around town alerting all the khat addicts that fresh khat produce is in town. I found that to be very strange.

Also, almost every house has an AK-47. The population is armed to the teeth. It's like 10 times worse than the Southern US states.

holding hands in somalia ( in particular in puntland) its a perfectly normal ordinary everyday thing to do..men don't just hold hands for the sake of it..it really depends on the conversation at hand..

its usually done by very close relatives and sincere friends..

i dont know about carabta and their culture but somalis as deep as in hawdka hold hands when in deep conversation that tend to draw out the occasional LOL.

anything thats done in hawdka is certified official somali thing..no questions..i went from bosaso to gaalkacyo and a sight like that is as normal as day light..

i usually put a hand on a brothers shoulder when walking and talking even here in the uk...

their is no khaniisnimo in authentic somali lands therefor your dirty filthy disgusting xxx rated western perspective is trully despicable and rather ignoble.
Hawdka is Arabic loan word you idiot. It's an arab thing.

I don't care if you people think it's gay or not. The bottom line is that it is not our culture period.

f-king learn your culture and stop appropriating other peoples norms.
so whats wrong with having arabic loan words in LUUQADA somaaliga, ..arabic is as somaali as the night is dark..
I suppose akhlaaq darada iyo aflagaadada is part and parcel of your dhaqan..war maandhow futo aad ku faantid malehide bal yara cago dhigo..

-You tell one person the time you'll be arriving at the airport and to meet you there, but instead the whole clan shows up for shaxaad. FML.

- Relatives invite you for a lunch at their homes one after another, you excitedly go but next thing you know you're trying to talk your way out of arranged marriage. FML.

-You rent a car and drive from Hargeisa to Bosaaso, you're enjoying the journey, the scenery, the sunsets, its amazing, it would have been perfect if it wasn't for the isbaaro asking for "tax" at every city and town along the way. FML

-As you step out the airplane, your relatives see you wearing some shitty clothes ( jeans and t-shirt with holes in them) and you start shaxaading them for the taxi ride to the city cause you told them you're broke. You even ask them to pay your hotel expenses, and they all start to run away one after another and they say to you "well played sir, well played indeed."

That's all I can think of for now.

:wtf:

Waryahe Xaarka iska dhaq!!
Wale ma Dhoqon baa tahay? When the fuck did Af soomaali become arabic? a couple of loan words which can be substituted and switch out at anytime doesnt makes somali similar or the same as arabic. Af Soomaali has hindi loan words as well, but does that make our language hindi? There isnt a single language on earth free of loan words.

War niyaw the average Geeljire has more cilmi iyo akhlaq then you! bal adigoo cabuudid arabka, ayaad Dhaqanka soomaliida wax ka sheegeysaa. meesha calaacalka kala tag..

Whitehartlane soomaali ma tihid.

Jalbaab is not mandatory but people here has become scared to wear anything but jalbaab and Indha shareer. I would say approximately 90% wear those two.

I think it has to do with al shabaab threatening to kill women who are " naked" naked being, wearing maybe a baati and garbasaar.
Women don't wear jalbaab out of religion, they wear it out of fear.

They don't wear it out of fear. I don't think so anyways.
Women wear it because they can pretty much go about their bizniz incognito, if you know what I mean. Bizniz at the front, party behind the jilbab.

N American females usually wear Abaya. European maryooley are mixed. They are the fashionistas.

Deportees from Saudi Arabia also wear jilbabs (freaks).

Then you got the tight skirt wearing females born or raised in Kenya (wild). They just don't give a fuk. Lol

Holding hands is not unheard of in many Somali regions.

As for MissFiora
