England looks very shitty outside of London, you have buildings that look burned, you have that shop Morrison in every shitty town that looks identical to the previous. If you are coming from the US that is a long trip, visit Dublin and Edinburgh and of course London.

Oh while you're at it, might aswell visit the European capitals aswell.

Somali's judge a city based on shisha spots. Nice city but the people seem depressed AF.

I'd avoid areas with no Somali population, or at push, less than 1% Muslim population.

All the good things to see in cities are already in areas with sizeable Somali population. There is nothing interesting to see elsewhere except in countryside.

I am planning a mini vacation in Manchester and surrounding area. What do u recommend.Time to avoid the areaÉ.I dont mind little cold.

Any suggestions of places to check out while there.Already thinking of Ireland.

Thanks peeps.

I don't know Manchester that much but there is this somali area you should avoid. The name of that area eludes me at the moment but I was there a few years back and it was dangerous. The city centre is beautiful (and ranked as the second innovative city in the Uk after London); there are several museums. Manchester/Liverpool have a lot of history.

As Ismail wrote, you should visit Liverpool ; the slave museum, the Beatles history and of course Liverpool club are worth visiting.

If you are planing to visit London, I can provide you with a Lamagoodle's guide .
I am trying to avoid much of London but will have to visit for few days.Planning to hit the museums and just wander around.

Cadaanguy. No thanks.I plan to avoid Somalis and their ghettos.Their internet cafes and qaad areas.I dont have that image of them and wanna keep it that way.

NoThatguy. No shisha and such for me.Boring suits me well.Think i am gonna like Manchester and Liverpool Insha Allah.

Adali Thanks for the recommendations.

Liquid. I havent seen much of what u describing.Never been to those places except London for few days and that didnt count.

Really appreciate the input Ismael,DisplacedDirac,Cherine,Blue,Aishah  .Cheers.

Somali "ghettos" in the UK isn't same in North American Somali ghettos.

But majority of tourist attractions are in areas where there are sizeable Somali population but since you didn't want go to them, enjoy your Plymouth rock style tourist attraction then. I'm not even suggesting that you go to "ghettos".

Manchester looks like Bristol, which looks like Swindon, which looks like Reading etc etc etc. Outside of London, there isn't much to see in the UK.
Stop misleading people.

I wasn't really impressed when I went to England last year, old buildings, horrible traffic jamps, expensive, the hotel I was staying at was dirty, old sheets, no soap shampoo or even coffee maker in the suite! they only had internet in the lobby nd I paid 150 cnd per night :mindblown: the front desk lady was like sir I am afraid we dnt have this, we dnt have that I said dnt be afraid it's ok but why are you using afraid in every sentence  other than I enjoyed watching my beloved chelsea play live

£150 a night? That's quite expensive. Ha ha ha did you book a hotel in chelsea? That area and its surounding is for The well heeled Arabs and the Russian counterparts. Aidgoo skinny qaxooti ah maxaa ku geeye meeshas? I agree the traffic is atrocious, the buildings are old, the tube is packed almost always. London is over rated.

You could have easily had a £30 a night bed and breakfast in shepherds bush or acton and take the bus to chelski.

Did you come to just watch a Chelsea game or a proper London holiday? How long were you here for? Stanford brook is few kilometers away from where I live. We never or hardly go to these places. When I didn't live in England, they were my must go visit places. However once you get here, they aren't as important as you thought

For example I vowed to visit theatre of dreams aka old traford before I came here. I couldn't give a shit about a theatre of dreams or some Stanford bridge theatre of boring football after I settled. It's huge in the minds of foreigners. The English are very good in the art of selling bulshid to the rest of the word

Chelsea you have a good memory bro. I forgot all the names except horseed's. Mohamed which is a popular name. The game is watched by many but can I ask what was the atmosphere inside the stadium. I have never been in one. The picture I have in the back of my mind is, lots of white drunkards shouting at the top of their voices in coherent gibberish "woo woo woo woo woo" for two hours n the coming out trudging home with nothing of benefit achieved accept wasting a whopping £50 for something you could see for free.

I used to be a fan not the overly obsessed football fan but I like watching a beautiful game if it's on. My team have been very disappointing in the last decade.Maybe they put me off football for good. Maybe I have matured n mellowed down or maybe the commercialization of the beautiful game sent me away from like it did to Many people.

Yes British are mostly friendly. You don't feel a foreigner in London. Everyone from everywhere is here. I will say London is foreign to the natives
