But for bad reasons:

There is no central bank and old notes are slowly becoming unusable and put out of use. That is why it is going up.

Also, nobody uses the Somali Shilling for big purchases. It is only used to buy small items, for expensive things (like house/car etc) they use the USD in Somalia.

for example ethiopian bir, worthed more in addisababa and ethiopian cities than somali region. somalki bussness are for profits 300% profits.

somalis are for quick wealth.

People use the Somali Shilling to buy food, clothes, give tips, shah etc.

But for more serious things like salaries, equipment etc. they use American money.

what ive seen somalia(lands) are expensive relatively compared to other poor countries.
