Wow, people still practise FGM?

So now we're banning the common, 'lesser' cutting as well, great move maryooley.

FGM is does more harm than destroying sexual feelings in a woman. It interferes with her ability to urinate and menstruate too, causing infections. The first sexual penetration (entering of the vagina) a woman who has been mutilated experiences is also hell on earth because some men will cut the woman's vagina open themselves or use force with tools as blunt as a broomstick to open the girl up, causing further injury. I'm disgusted that it's even debatable on this forum, with young people advocating for it...check yourself Jamal. Its xaraam, it was never prescribed by the Prophet (pbuh) or any prophet before him, nor it mentioned in the Quran. It is just like cutting off your peepee because these girls literally have their entire outer genitalia cut off, and to make matters worse, what's left is sewn up and they end up with vulva's which resemble an open palm....which get ripped open a decade+ later.

FGM is evil...we even call it fircooni....which means we know its super xaaraan and pre Islamic to boot. In Islam there are only two era's we need to focus on, Jaahiliya and Islam...Islam should transform you and everything harmful you did out of ignorance and culture are automatically banned, like FGM. The so called 'sunnah' cut was the Prophet (pbuh) pleading with a woman not to completely destroy he daughter's vulva...Like slavery, everything Islam was going to end was done in stages....as the Prophet (pbuh's) Ummah we should eradicate it like we eradicated slavery.

I'm not going to marry a xalimo that's been circumcised. If we start rejecting them because of this, then the imbecilic parents of the Somali community will finally realise we ain't having none of this and put an end to this barbaric practice.

I believe fgm should be done after puberty that way only the bad ones are affected. Waa bilaahi towfiiq.

What many people have yet to understand is, the blessed sex act has been corrupted from two sides! There are men who do not want to marry a woman who underwent this barbaric ritual. People should be told that the mutilation of male children drastically reduces the ability of the male to feel sexual pleasure the way Allah intended.

Female and male babies mutilated without anesthesia and pain relief drugs experience a fate worse than death! The mutilation of male and female children has a calamitous effect on the unfortunate individual, his/her spouse, and society!
