Very sad indeed.

I once met a 25-30 year old woman who was addicted to drugs. Her family disowned her and she lived on the streets in North London. It might be the same woman because I met her in the Finchely Road area of north London. She asked me for a pound to buy some food and I asked her to join me for a lunch at the KFC - and having finished the Lunch she asked for 5 pounds to buy drugs. I asked her to tell me her lifestory and it was one filled with "let downs". She mentioned that she came to London at the age of 11. When she was 15 she became a teenage rebel and her parents forced her to leave home.

A tragic history. Somali parents shouldn't disown their kids. They should help them to go to drug rehabs.

Prostitution is rampant among somali women in London, Rome and Toronto.

Go to edgeware road in London and you would see somali women soliciting arabs.

Garibaldi in Neaples and the train station in Rome is also the place to go in Italy.

But there is a relationship between poverty and prostitution.

From my perspective, I see no problem in prostititution. They should let it free. It should be regulated just like Holland and Germany.

You can't fight it if you don't have a social infrastructure.

North, what is a kafir?

I have lived in London before it was invaded by fuccing asylum seekers like yourself.

You were probably pimping in fuccing street by the time I came to London.

[quote="QansaGabeyle"]Crack addiction forced her to prostitution. For those of you currently on crack(qudhac and dhuusadheer), you better quit it before it is too late. And for those of you who smoke weeds, take heed, this is what smoking all those joints can lead to. I wonder how a somali girl became a crack addict? Single mother raising her? Another problem we, as the somali community, need to tackle. Some men should stop abandoning their wives to raise the kids on their own. Laughing

shaheen, never mind North brother who calls people kufr while calling a deceased somali woman a prostitute.

I see the deceased as a victim of crime and I hope they give life sentence to the guy who killed her.

What her profession is , is secondary.

Glob,
Its like saying a person who experiences any kind of misfortune deserves it, is person who is struck by lighting a bad person? Circumstances forces people to do get involved in drugs etc and even when Allah (swt) blesses some of us it’s not because we are better human beings than others. Can’t we be grateful and extend a little kindness to others?

Sis i think the problem lies with the somali 'mentality' that anything deviant from their cultural norms should be shunned/orstracised, regardless of circumstances or other variables. And as my dad puts it...

''It the somali way or the high way...''

Sis amat,
I know what you mean , as much as we Somalis like to go on about how different they are based on qabiils in reality majority think everyone has the same values, prejudices, frames of reference as they do and that’s why I said in an earlier post that we need to recognise that not all of us are carbon copies of each other, our life experiences are the not the same and we need to accept that, as much as we are the same we are different too and our expectations of each other should reflect that.
