The weirdest cases I've noticed in the UK is that a Somali girl would get married to a non Somali (only Allah knows if they are actually Muslim) and she would be happy and content with a small nikkah and a £10 family value chicken and chips BUT IFFFF they were to marry a Somali they would demand a RING, 50k wedding, honeymoon and rinse the brother out.

I agree with you and Gedogirl. The reason I don't bother with them is they don't lead authentic lives. I liken it to an obese personal trainer, it's a walking contradiction. I normally don't occupy my space with people that I don't vibe with in terms of their ideals/ethos. I don't have much of a twitter presence, so perhaps I have the luxury of tuning them out and I rarely visit blogs.

Nothing wrong living in council house/flat - it is too expensive to rent privately - there is no shame in. Now to get a council is very hard so if they tell little white lie to get on list or get their application moved quickly -oh well... there is no evidence to support such accusation.

Seriously- Somalis are very realistic - they know they are not gonna live in the west forever - so they save their money and invest elsewhere.
And paid council rent and council tax £600 - if they were renting privately they would be paying £1500+ a month rent alone - so who's the fool.

Big weddings are just waste - there was a man who sent over £20,000 and divorce within months - what's the point.

I'm the biggest advocator for doing what you want. I've defended gay people when it wasn't popular. But these SJW chicks are the most inauthentic fake people ever. If they want to be with madow or cadaan or indhoyar that's fine but don't be dishonest and be pretentious as hell about it.

I generally get African-Americans with their pro black thing. They don't have a country they can fall back on. Somalis have an identity. Language. Culture etc. We can trace our ancestors back a long way back. But their identity is black.
