Most unoccupied Somalis are highly xenophobic towards Ethiopians. When ever xabashi immigrants settle down in Somaliland they are accused disease spreading human trafficking etc and they get deported back to Ethiopia. Most of them move to bosaso where they are forced risk journeys to the arabian peninsula. same happens in Djibouti. xabashis can't settle down beyond the kilil.

60% out of a population of 700k is nothing, when Ethiopia is pushing 90 million. But good luck to our DJ cousins, they would certainly need it in the next couple of decades.

In 2010 it was almost 900k.
Now it's 2015.....

Another trajectory I see in the Horn in the next 3 decades, though unscientific, is center of political, economic and social gravity would be trending in a northerly and westerly directions.

Cities like Djibouti, Borame, Hargeisa, Jigjiga and Dira Dhabe would account for most economic and population centers in the Somali peninsula.

Mogadishu, though vibrant, will lose its luster as the hub of Somalis.

You need to better understand geography. All of those cities in the north are fairly large and will grow, but Mogadishu is a different beast. Mogadishu has the Shabelle valley as its hinterland. It also has dirt cheap transport costs because its hinterland is literally 15 miles away from its port. All of those cities you listed are inland save for Djibouti, meaning they have relativly high transport costs. The only other city that has Mogadishu's advantages is probably Kismayo. Having a river means reliable fresh water forever, irrigation on a large scale, and self sufficiency in food. Geography determines the future.
