No one wants to marry a Femi-Nazi Xalimo who thinks all foreign customs are unquestionably sacrosanct. FOH with that BS.

Aren't some of you Xalimos pushing the white dress thingy a bit too far. Only if you possess the V-card are you worth discussing about a white dress, if at that.

There is nothing wrong with how our grandfathers married our grandmothers  .

Everything Western is not "it" .

If you don't see what is wrong, then I can't help you.
What about the white dress that most Somali girls where? That has nothing to do with our culture but Somalis seem to think it's OK to wear it. :?

I personally don't live for other people and their opinions so I'd wear what I want to wear.
I don't condone the white wedding dress either but clearly that's a case of apples and oranges. The white wedding dress is worn by everyone on the planet. 99% weddings have a bride and groom in western clothing like suits and dresses. That's true from America to Jordan to China. Lakiin nobody outside of south asia wears a sari to a wedding. It's as retarded as a somali wearing a kimono as a wedding dress.

It's good that you care little about other people's opinions, that doesn't make a Somali woman wearing a sari on her wedding day any less cringeworthy or retarded..

Image

Inaayah, i'm guessing you're in North America because no Somali woman in her right mind in Europe would ever so much as entertain the thought of wearing a sari. I even saw a pic of a Somali groom in a sherwani AND turban isla sawirayya his Somali bride who was wearing a Sari/lengha. Mind boggling. :snoop:

Evol,

I agree with you, i guess people wey ka khasoobayaan Somali music. Ciyaal casiir i can understand but even then it gets cringy after a while if truth be told. I don't understand why other Somalis would put on arabic music though?

Not only would I wear it, but I'd wear it like I'm Beyonce up in that shiiiit. :dj:

^Stop taking the piss lol, my husband wouldn't be wearing a turban.

Anyways, I've seen plenty of Somali girls where a saari and they looked abosulutely flawless.

I see it no different as to a woman wearing a white dress, which plenty do.

Each to their own.

Liquidhydrogen reminds me of a south korean who hates china or a Japanese who hate south korean, Arabs are our neighbours and it is not shocking for Somalis to like listening to Arab music or watch Indian movies.

While you may hate it, don't hate the people who like it ! I don't believe they suffer from deep inferiority complex, why do you care what these naago do anyway ? to me they remind me of white women dancing to African Jungle music.

shit ain't that serious.
Don't put words in mouth. I don't hate anyone and don't see arabs as my neighbour. My neighbours are Djibouti, ethiopia and Kenya. So if I don't wear shalwar kameez, that must kean I hate pakis?

Somalis and their nonsensical black and white logic. Emotional drama addicts

Well considering Somali men at least from what was observed back home are nuts about Hindi women, you never know you might just make him a very happy man :D

My cousins back home have little cutouts of Bollywood actresses in their pockets. These are preteens Lol. One of my cousins an older one was saying 'hadaan mid hindiyad ah oo tima dheer guursan lahaa wax kaleba noolasha kamaan rebi lahayn [shit paraphrasing but you get the drift] lol

I was just passing by and saw the argument regarding the wedding dress in this thread so this is my take on the issue:

There is nothing more beautiful than your own hiddo & dhaqan. And with that, see y'all later.
