The first marriage is the "starter" marriage. You learn how the thing operates.
My only regret was going for women I am into instead of marrying for breeding purposes. Our awooweyal/ayeeyoyal had it right about marriage: procreation, alliance building and economics.
If I had chosen to marry my 3rd cousin who is a resident of Southall, I would have had a 20 year old by now. If she soured on me, I wouldn't mind supporting ina adeertey and bollocks, if she takes off with Abdi or Abdia Jr. I'd always find her.
But instead I went on a search for "interesting" "compatible" women of which the Xalimos I came across did not fit the bill. Ajanabi did but I was petrified at having a NonMuslim kid who didn't belong in his rer adeer and rer abtiyal world.
