African countries are developing crazy fast. Faster than Asia did.

Postby inaXasan » Tue Oct 13, 2015 1:42 pm

6 out of 10 of the fastest growing countries are all in Africa. Africa is last to enter the road to high HDI and wealth but it's speeding down that road faster than East Asia ever did. Soon before we age you'll see another South Korea/Singapore/Taiwan in Africa.

Ethiopia is in the top 10 fastest developing countries. Development is evident in the changing skyline in Addis Ababa.

Dar es Salaam , Tanzania. just look at all those new skyscrapers shooting up.

Lagos, Nigeria. The biggest city of the biggest economy in Africa, Nigeria is the USA/China of Africa.

If you want to be rich. Now is your chance.

I always feel like we are the European Generation of WW2; they lived to see the prosperity Europe gained after the war.

The fastest growing nations are usually also the poorest. They have the greatest distance to cover in terms of development. Anyway, kudos to the other Africans

Europe was pretty advanced even before WW2.

Africa still is a joke and probably always will be.

I'm talking about Somalia. But still, I know the war is not the only factor in hand.

The only reason these pictures are possible is because these countries can pull on the spending, saving and tax revenue of extremely large populations. These cities also have huge hinterlands that supply them with labor and food production. The gdp per capita in Tanzania and Ethiopia is below $1000, put they each have 50 and 100 million people, economies of scale Somalia can never dream of. Lagos alone has more people than Somalis on earth.

Unfortunatly Somalis are laangaab, and live in a semi-desert

I hope that Somalia and Somaliland will get their act together! and think about the future of the land and its people.

I think it is about that time, that we put our differences aside and be pragmatic and forward thinking!

You're probably ignorant and still keep the shit views that Africa is still all aids ridden poor hungry shithole that you were raised with or probably are a little salty that every place Somalis are a majority of is a complete fuck up but there are some African countries that will be a success in the next few decades. My bet is on Nigeria, Ethiopia and Tanzania.

People who are uneducated easily fall into propaganda and are easily manipulated by others who want to use them for their own benefit. We need to educate our people. That's the only way Somalis will have any future

Great! However, I wonder how their Human Development Index compares to other African countries that are not on the 'fast track' ?

I have been to many African countries.

All of them were shit.

The least shitty one was South Africa and sadly enough it was only half decent because it is run by white people.
