Trick or treat?

Postby Inaayah » Thu Oct 29, 2015 4:30 pm

Them lil' Rugrats will be getting toon iyo basal from me.

If they try egging my door, I'm gona go Mo Faarax on them! :x

Serious thou

Wallahi bari ban xauusta when me and my siblings were younger and we wanted to do what all the other neighbourhood kids do and go trick or treating.

We got black bin bags, made a dalool, stuck our heads in. Got baby powder, dashed it on our face and waan dawarsi tagnay.

Came home with bare sweets, back then that was like a major accomplishment.

You don't sound like you live in London though, in the forums. Weird. You are different from Londoners/Uk forumers.

Apparently Not, I don't follow you around :D and at first, when I saw your writings initially, I confused you with someone else. Soon figured you were two different individuals.

But no, you guessed right, I didn't see your convo. You live in London? That would be so odd.

Just different. Your English and personality, American raised or people who spent long time in America are different I noticed from other Somalis in Europe.

Inaayah, I haven't said anything negative actually, just a difference in attitudes and personalities owing to environmental influences. Plus the language we use may be both English but are quite different in style. Adiga, you fit in pax Americana so easy. I swear, I always thought you were in the States, never would have guessed you lived in Europe.

Quantum- Ok I get what you're saying now.

I always thought it was obvious through my posts that I'm a London girl, lol I guess it's not to some

Garad- It goes as far back as the 16th or 17th century.
