If the command is to cover " your beauty" and the keyword is beauty, how about ugly women who have no beauty at all what should they cover?

It is a basic part of our religion that women dress modestly. The days when Somali nationalism was at its peak. Our glory days before wahabism and tribalism killed it.
Come clean and just say "I want see them tits"
.Absolutely. That's the era i should've been born in. Beautiful architecture, better fashion, better reputation.

Beauty is subjective. What might be ugly to you, might be beautiful to others.

Where do you stand on this one?good discussion, very civilized. not totally agree here but i like the train of thinking here both CaliQase and The Future.
many moons ago my sister asked me " can i pray in my room without hijab?" i asked what makes you think of that? she said "cause I am standing front of Allah when i pray and give respect and thank to him, he can see me under the cloth, so how one can cover from God"
i understood how her train of thinking going, she was thinking, if hijab is to cover "your beauty, be modest or what ever from strange men, why cover from God.
i encoureged her to continue to think and ask as much questions and do not scare of no body to ask. love it.
one has to consider the circumferences and the audiance all the time.
Opps you're right. I did post that really early in the morning.Absolutely. That's the era i should've been born in. Beautiful architecture, better fashion, better reputation.
You were horn pre 1991

The jilbaab in Somaliland and Somalia took off after the war. I don't remember during my xagaa bax to hargeysa women dressed with jilbaab. . Shalmad iyo malkhamad was the norm if my memory serves me right.
Beautiful Reer Jabuuti
How come the jilbaab didn't take off over there?
