There is no such a thing called Somali dhar for the love of God everything we wear is , was stolen from other people and cultures from lamogo' diric,garbasaar,macaws , sirwaal etc.... (and nothing is wrong with adopting or taking from others btw ) so let's just give it a rest :)

I don't see anything wrong with the clothes. Didn't you see the Diric ? Weyna asturanyihiin.

Wale there is no winning with faraxs. If it was purely hido iyo dhaqan fashion (which bother way Xalimos are proud to display) there will be comments along the lines of....their skin is showing :snoop:

xalimos,...they sure have their work cut out for them.

I can imagine...A Somali Muslima Fashion. And comments will go along the lines of....Whats with Arab clothes? When did we become Arabs? Why do somali love to emulate Arabs?

Chelsea I don't see what your problem with the fashion show is- maybe you highlighted it in your comment but you know my af Somali is not up to scratch.


The fashion look is decent - i love the fourth Diric and the Somali flag one.
I would rather they didn't do it but it is definitely not embarrassing.

The woman wearing the Indian dress is not a xalimo. She looks indian.
