It's that time of the year...

Postby Hyperactive » Wed Nov 18, 2015 12:53 pm

University searching,,,,

Finally, my baby sister is grade 12 and looking for university in Canada (she will moving with me if she got it). now she has 3 years visiting visa.

She is intrested in science but suddenlly she is changing on us saying " All my life I was taking science and math courses, i am 17 and i want explore and experience other things, like Arts programs with science courses, until i decide what i want to do"

my dad wont waste money for whole year or maybe more to take useless things cause " i want explore options" that is not the way my dad's mentality works.

So my question, rer Canada, is there any programs that do both and also use that credit to other programs later? I am researching like crazy for 2 days.

i saw a progral in guelph university program of arts and science called , Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree.

Any academic snetters?....please your opinions.

How good is her English?

Honestly if her English is on the same level of yours, then she will fail university in Canada. It will be too advanced for her (I'm not trolling but being serious). Studying in your own native language (Arabic) is much safer, she will understand the subjects better.

She passed her English and she has her bilingual diploma French and English.

my half sister already accepted med school as scholarship from Qatar government. this one going under our expence, while elder one govenment covering it.

i just do not waste money on useless degrees. as she telling us she wants medical feild like her elder sister. but i dont understand about exploring Art and social science about!

Let her take the IELTS test, if she gets under a ~7.5 I would strongly suggest not studying in an Anglophone country.
