Guduudane - Caracal/African Lynx

Harimacad - Cheetah

Shabeel - Leopard

Bisad dibadeed - African Wild Cat
I always wondered what guduudane was. When I heard stories I always imagined something akin to a badger.Shoow waa caracal

Dabacadeeye is a urbanized honey badger (shown below). Somalis call the one that live in the baadiye Xoor

Dhulukh-Dhulukh is exactly similar shape-wise to the Snow Leopard shown below but little bit smaller but has the same marks as the African leopard.

Grant, the Muuq-Shabeel one that I am familiar with is given to the children of interracial families. In other words, when one of the parents of the children is cadaan, you know they are not straight black or maariin, and they are not straight cadaan. So, Somalis concocted this word as the color of the interracial parents.
