I'm looking for Somali who will help me translate a bunch of Educational material into our Somali language

Postby inaXasan » Mon Nov 30, 2015 7:09 am

I'm planning on launching an Organization solely dedicated to educating Somali people using their Native language. Somali will learn some really important stuff like Economics, History and Mathematics along with advanced stuff like Sociology , Literature, Science and Technology very fast if it was written in Af Somali. Somali people are almost entirely educated using Foreign languages because there was no learning material in our language. Also, Majority of Somali everywhere speak Somali only so tons of learning material in Somali will create millions of educated Somali that will greatly benefit us all as Somali and African. No other African language has had this kind of prestige because all countries in Africa use foreign languages so we will create history for ourselves and have something big to be proud of.

It is gonna be difficult converting everything into Somali and all attempts (if any) to do this have failed but it is not an impossible job. It's becomes very easy if a lot of people work together.

So who is game? let's partner up and create a legacy!

Great project. I would love to help. I don't have any linguistic talents to offer though. :)

InaXasan, adeer; on this Indiana University website, you may find the Somali primary and secondary school curricula in SOMALI.

http://www.indiana.edu/~librcsd/nt/db.c ... ield=&nh=1

This is a resource you could tap into.

Good luck
