Why do Somalis hate Ethiopians?

Ive been on this site for 2 weeks, and everyday I see Somalis here insult Ethiopians like as if we are to blame for your countries situation, when everyone knows our government has never represented the people and most Ethiopians dont give a fuck about Ogaden. I know we have problems like most African nations, and that our country has done some bad shit in the past to our nieghbours but it seems like most Somalis cant seem to seperate politics from the people. I even know Somalis who dream of habeshas starving to death like in 1983. And the thing is other than Somalilanders, most somalis seem to wish for Ethiopias destruction or balkanisation when we all know what that will result in millions of deaths like in czeckoslavakia. Ive never seen Ethiopians wish for Somalias destruction or ever insult Somalis like Somalis Insult Ethiopians and most would much rather see a more stable Somalia as that would mean we could have more potential port partners so then we could grow our economy. Somalis(other than somalilanders) seem not to get that If Ethiopia succeeds in being a viable and prosperous state, that would benefit the whole region as everyone is linked to ethiopia economically. Look at Djibouti for example, theyre eating well cuz of us

Ethiopia has the largest population in East Africa and the second largest in Africa. We are also the cultural centre of the horn. And eventually once we get this port issue over with and modernise our logistical infrustructure , we will probably become the economic powerhouse of east Africa. Your people will lose big time of your country continues to see Ethiopia as a threat and not as a potential economic partner(Altho to be fair Ogaden should be united with Somalia, blame the Derge and that murderer Mengistu Hailemariam for that war)

Somalis should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of hating others, they should sort their own problems and behave peaceful and not become a qabilah unlike Ethiopians.

Unlike Siad Barre and the Qabilist who ate all of Somalia, Ethiopians didn't destroy any cities/infrastructures in their civil war and against Eritrea. It was done in uninhabited regions and battle areas which shows their understanding of wars and respect.

Somalis especially in the south misunderstood Ethiopia. Even during the great Abbysinia-Adal wars, southern Somalis had very little role. So it's not clear why they have great fears of Ethiopia.

Most of them say accudunillah just if they hear Ethiopia.

In SL most anti-Ethiopia units are in the far east. They know of no Ethiopia. Economically they more dependent on southern Somalia than Ethiopia. There are no Ethiopians there either unlike Hargeisa.

Hargeisa before it became Hargeisa was actually called Harar after Harar itself. The credited founder Sheikh Madar was a resident of Harar.

Majority of Hargeisawis have either been to Ethiopia or have families there or in border areas. Hargeisa is populated from Haud (hararghe) and Gabiley really.

We need regime change in Ethiopia but I know that's something almost all Ethiopians desire too.

Between SL and ET we need more balance in relations, trade and engagement.

Many Landers feel ET doesn't precipitate the same when it comes to many issues. I personally agree but my approach to things is education and awareness rather than burning bridges or taking in views from third parties.

I think southerners by nature believe they win if others fail. I see them always praying for evil for others Somaliland included. For that reason I refused to join their voodoo in the name of Somali.

But their prayers always bite them back. It's time they lesrned one wins by wishing good for others. That is all they need not AMISOM.

There was a lot of war crimes commited by both sides. Maybe Ethiopian troops didnt want to damage the beautiful Italian buildings.

You win by being the wealthiest man in the neighbourhood, not by war. Look at Germany today for example, they control Europe by giving European union paychecks and loans despite the fact that theyve lost both WW1 and WW2. Regional rivalry . Take France and Germany , they're brothers yet it took millions of dead for them to realize it . Today they're the closest partners in all of Europe .
The Ethiopian civil war cannot be compared to the Somali civil war . Not everybody rebelled in Ethiopia , 2 of the biggest clans of the somalis one in the Nth and another in the Sth did . It is the submissive nature of the Ethiopians who not only derives from their culture but long years of harsh communist control of the population that saved the day for the winners { Tigre}, they would argue common sense.

Ethnic/tribal feudalism, enmity, warmongering and supremacist mentality is the main reason why the Horns of Africa is still living in the 14th century.

It's backward and a hell hole plagued with tribal/ethnic conflicts and despotism. There have been literally no progress in the last 50 years.

Europe hated and fought each other immensely during World Wars and now look at their countries and how they became best friends and had unions. West Africa and East Africa is heading toward to progress after the hardship they've gone through in the past. Same as Asia who used to hate each other before they developed but the Horns of Africa remains backward.

People who still hold this mentality should all be deported to an Island. This is the only way to progress and develop in the Horns.
