Cuz Ethiopia never got colonised. There are days I wish we got properly colonised by britian so then they could have left us with a proper parliamentary system/ checks and balances/decent beurocracy, some decemt infrustructure not to mention Eritrea would have stayed with us I think. Kenya benefitted from British rule even tho they treated black people like shit. We got colonised by the Amharas who didnt know how to do shit or how to create proper industries. The only thing they knew how to do was look down on other ethnic groups and spread their Amhara culture. And Britain has always respected Ethiopians because of the so called Hamitic race theory so Im sure we would have been treated far more humanely than the bantus, anyway the average Ethiopians generally got treated like shit as serfs so there wouldnt be much difference between a Amhara or British ruler, atleast Britain could have left us with something great. Look at Eritrea Asmara for example, they probably have the most beautiful city in Africa.If Ethiopia wasn't the oppressive giant shithole it is maybe we wouldn't hate it so much.
More than 3 Million Somali live in Kenya and the many of them are rich & middle class they also have a strong voice & place in government and are very well mixed with the people and the culture of Kenya. unlike f-king Ethiopia, More than 6 Million Somali live in Ethiopia and electricity hasn't even reached the Somali region until recently (but only in big towns) let alone having political power.

The Ethiopian people are not responsible but the average Somali doesn't understand how politics in shithole countries like Ethiopia works so they assume the citizens are responsible for and support all the oppression. I've seen them blame the Xabashi in my city and hating them. I don''t know if they are Amxaaro or Tigray but they also hate the Somali because they get disrespected by the Somali and called names.
It's been like this but things have surprisingly improved, Somali now eat at their restaurants and they eat at our restaurants. They started becoming our neighbors too and like to listen to Somali music and speaking Somali language
Anyways, hope things improve in Ethiopia before some kind of genocide happens
Most Ethiopians dont have ethnic hatred except the Oromos as most are more concerned with providing for their families. And also theyve seen what ethnic conflict can do. Itll just make you poorer and it wont make a different even if your ethnic groups get in power as only a few tribes or families benefit. Look at the Tigrayans, despite winning the war, the average Tigrayan is still as poor as the average Oromo. Most just want to have a decent living standard. I dont hate Amharas for what theyve done because its the past, and Amharas of today shouldnt be held responsible for their ancestors sins. Most Ethiopians think our greatest enemy is poverty and that we could only reduce this poverty as a united nation. This is the attitude of most highlander habesha Ethiopians from Amharas to Gurages as theyve all been personally touched by the 1983 tragedy. Oromos on the other hands are a different case, they still feel victimised by the ghosts of the Amhara regime of Haile Selassie and they think seccession will solve their problems despite the fact that much of their highlander territories were never theirs to begin with and theres plenty of Oromo regions that Somalis, Amharas, and Gurages also have a legit claim too which could lead to outright war and ethnic cleansing if Oromo tried to secede which is why everytime I see Oromo secessionists on the streets, I wanna break their necksbefore you ask us why we Somalis hate ethiopia i think you should ask your self why Ethiopians hate each an other. in my opinion all horn africans are haters in one way or the other atleast we somalis hava reason to hate ethiopians because you occupied some parts of our land.
True, if colonization did anything good it give many African countries new ideas and technology. Ethiopia remained in darkness until the cold war which they cluelessly took communism and fucked themselves up even more.
