Which do you guys prefer and why? And girls which do you guys prefer?

I think its good to do your own efforts. atleast you wont blame any one else except your self if she gets bad.

Both have benefits.

On your own -> your taste.
Through family -> you''ll know she has a good image & is a decent one.

It just depends on the kind of people you hang out. If you hang out with bad people, you're better off going via family. If you're amongst pious or/and intelligent people, then you should try to find them yourself.

I knew a man who married woman who slept around and had bad reputation. She was pretty much unmarriageable, even for amongst the men who did the same. Her family knew this but decided to big up her to get rid of her as she was getting into their hair and was becoming old fast. They were desperate.

It just depends on the kind of people you hang out. If you hang out with bad people, you're better off going via family. If you're amongst pious or/and intelligent people, then you should try to find them yourself.

Arranged marriage doesn't work anymore, unless u go back home and find it that way. I would suggest you find ur own Xaas.

Make it a hybrid, choose your own but consult with your family, especially the females if they know her or could know her.

For a girl, a guy a family member can vouch for will filter a lot of shady characters. Too many grown men children running around.


Things like personality matching/ taste can be mitigated, particularly if you entrust a sibling or cousin (that is someone in your age group) for the hook up.


Having said that you may prefer one way and fate may deal you a different hand.

I don't have a problem with family member doing the ground work, but I just can't help but feel like a disappointment, which is why am against the idea.
