Al Shabab are majority foreigners. If you have ever seen their videos you'll realise that they blur the faces of some (foreigners) but display the faces of others and even name their qabiil. There are Kenyans, Tanzanians and Congolese even hiding in Somalia and they're fighting to keep the status quo so they don't get deported or discovered once peace and residents/diaspora return.

Alshabab have seen major defactors,40 days of pardon was given to them,some have utilized it.

Blood, I'll take it you've also noticed? Especially that infamous mass execution in Kudhaa island where the big black dudes had their faces covered and the midget half cadcad looking Somali had his face uncovered and was the only one who spoke.

Majority shabab are based in JL,saakow,Buale,afmadow,they have little importance in Mogadishu except few suicide attacks from here and there.
