If Zeila is the true capital and roots of Somalia, then why is Mogadishu the capital of Somalia?

The roots of Somalia came from the ancient city of Zeila, not Mogadishu...why was that city even chosen as the capital!? It's so far south, that I doubt our ancestors lived in that city near the bantus.

Muqdisho is more than 2200 years old. it's predecessor was called Maqcad-Shah by the Persians and Serapion by Greeks & Romans. Let's also not forget the 10th century Muqdisho Sultanate.
Muqdisho is definitely a great city and deserves it's high status. It's a few centuries younger than Northern cities but it's important to Somalis none the less.

Also, what Roots from Zeila? you do know Somalis lived in many other bigger ancient cities than Zeila right?

Geledis never controlled Muqdisho. It was the Hiiraab imamate that defeated the Ajuuran's.

Somalis never had or lived under common state and that simply means they never had a universal capital seat.

The south was always ruled by southerners apart from few northerners who went there as migrants such as that kid from Berbera that briefly ruled Mogadishu (Geledi member no different than Godane).

The north was always under northerners.

Even during the Adal kingdom, there was no southerners unlike what the Kacaan tried to tell them. They lived under Ajuraan while the north with its capital in Zeila was under Adal/Ifat Empire.
