The reason These are Cheap is Because of Increase in Agricultural Production in Towns that Surround Mogadishu,Most of these Are exported as far as GCC and still Surplus remains. The abundance of the Somali-Land is amazing, every fruit/veg can be farmed large scally if Utilized Properly.i havent been to the country for the last 6 years and this is the first time i am seening Apple being farmed on large scale and Pomegrenate. :eat:

Apples and other fruits are available all over the Horn and most countries except Somaliland, Djibouti and Somalia export them in the thousands of KGs.

Quality is the main thing and all the fruits shown in those footages seem to have gone off. Such is grown out in the developed world and even countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, to some extend Eritrea and Ethiopia.

The electronics seem very expensive and rather old too.

Tab 3 7.0 inches is $250 US in Mogadishu market while its less than $90 in Dubai.

That's day light robbery but nothing like suicide bombing them

For education purpose, I recommend the video below (start from 5:30).

I hope you learn something or be inspired.

AWr
You couldnt stand throw some Habesha stuff dont you? The apple farms i am talking about are Large Scale Farming which doesnt need microfinance only investing in Irrigation etc.the future is Bright for agricultural sector for southern Somalia.
