Any recommendations for the best areas of greater MPLS to live? Criteria is:

1. Has to be with in 30 minutes of downtown.

2. Not too many Somalis in the area.

3. Not too racist - No Bachmann territory

4. Good entertainment - Theater, night life, etc

5. Decent school system

6. Good road network that doesn't flood (I heard of horror stories of the Mississippi flooding in Dakota County)

Come live in Columbia Heights

Pros: Cheap big homes, great if you have family. Right up 35W or I94 from downtown. North Minneapolis so there's lots of masjids mashallah. No qaxooti Somalis. Schools in the suburbs are always better than MPS. Lots of outlets to shop from.

Cons: Bad reputation for gun violence and drugs.
This weekend a 20yr old Somali kid got shot to death in CH.

Yesterday another kid was shot outside of a school in north Minneapolis.

And today another car was found in north Minneapolis riddled with bullets and a body inside. If you're single and can handle the heat, welcome to our fair city

If you have money, the best and safest north suburb is Roseville. Very white.

You forgot to add security onto the list.

Saint Paul or Roseville it's safe and low-key

As a veteran of Camden, NJ, Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, MPLs will be a cake walk.
