Somali Women Fertility rate

Somali women are said to be the second biggest breeders in the world. They have an average of 6.6 children per women. Why soo many kids?

I always said the poor people breed too much and that there should be a 3 children policy. there are no resources

In my home city the average women has about 10 children.
My cousins wife is not even 30, but she already has 8 boys for us.

When there is no pension money to rely on. The only other option is to have a lot of kids, that's the best insurance policy.
