The first Somali radio was Radio Hargeisa in 1942, Then Radio Mogadishu in 1952 followed by the BBC Somali section, in 1957.

my favourite show was sheekh dirir at 7 just before isha salat, wait for the news at 8 those were the days

I believe Yusuf Haji Adan Qabile was the first Radio Hargeisa presenter.

Nah radio hargeysa was before radio mogadishu when the two counties joined people left to work at radio mogadishu late seventies.
