That is great question what is the point of wearing a hijab if you are going to grind your booty on a boner in front of spectators? Is the point of the Hijab to show modesty? Is it a means of visibly expressing your muslim identity?

Hijab is an accessory among the majority of Somali women just because someone wears a hijab doesn't mean they are pious. I don't think anybody should be surprised that most freaks wear hijabs.

What is this double standard? I don't see the guy wearing anything visibly identifying him as a muslim.
The Hijab has been "culturalized" and stripped of it's religious purpose over the centuries, to most Hijabis it's just a mere cloth. Like other Islamic practices it has been relegated to culture/dhaqan status and no longer holds religious significance.

I was amazed that even though the girls back home all wore hijabs they still engaged in all sorts of zina (albeit on the down low)and were no different from their western counterparts and most of them did not even pray.

The hijab is as much a religious indicator as the macawiis is

I just view hijabis in the west and back home as wearing cultural attire rather than presuming their religiosity, it's much more easier this way.

If a Muslim woman wears the Hijab, she has fulfilled a directive ordained by the Deen and who are you to judge her for wearing one whilst indulging in sin? You do not get extra sins for being a fornicator if you wear the Hijab so why judge her more harshly because she wears one? As a matter of fact, if she was not wearing the Hijab, she would be sinning for not covering her hair in the presence of non-Muhran men on top of rubbing her derriere against the groin of a non-Muhran male.

Those adopting a feminist stance that the guy is as much a 'harlot' as her, lets f-king keep it real. Only one person in that dance routine is being objectified, I don't see that skinny nigga gyrating his body for the pleasure of that voluptuous being nor do I see him being manhandled like a toy.

There are several reasons why men are the Muhrams of women and one of them is to protect women from being preyed upon by men. Imagine those two met in a club and she ended up going home with him. Lets say he smashed that thing in a very selfish manner not paying attention to her needs, who is left feeling short changed? The sexes ain't equal when it comes to Sex. We men are guaranteed an orgasm and rarely come out of a sexual encounter feeling used. Would you be more concerned for a male sibling that screwed anything with a heartbeat or a sister that could not say no to every Nigga thar tries to take her Nigis off?

p.s That cushion was made for pushing.

No big deal , I have taken part in such dances in my past , good fun when done privately and nobody knows

I am old enough to remember when girld didn't wear a hijab and where when you are inside the house , you could here and there take a glimpse at their breast under the diric or if positioned correctly with the lighting you could see their form , damn those were the days of the free somalis

I don't know where this TENT wearing culture came from ?

Sahan, taad dhashay ama kula dhalatay ma ogoshahay in naaseeda oo laalaada diric hoostii laga arko oo waliba lagu kacsado? I despise wahhabism maybe even more than u saxib, but let's not get carried away here and act like covering up our women is a bad thing. I'll be damned if horny men get to see my wife, sister or daughter's body. But i do agree that these huge jilbabs that u refer to as 'tents' are overboard and unnecessary. A non see-through dirac with a large shalmad/garbasaar that covers the hair, chest and arms more than satisfies islamic and somali norms for modesty.

Btw,hijab does not control people's actions or emotions.how many girls that wear hijab in public are part time Instagram models?how many do ceeb, smoke, drink?many wear it for cultural reasons.and even those that wear ur for good intentions may slip up on occasion, for we are all human.

I have a problem with people, particularly men telling women they shouldn't wear hijab because it's not done correctly or she's engaging in something that is wrong.

Hijab is a peice of clothing. It doesn't make you an angel first of all. We all are human and we all sin. It's this rationale that makes girls develop anxiety on whether they should begin observing hijab, those that do wear it are placed on some unrealistic pedastal of moral uprightness. It's ridiculous.

Rather than advise to stop partaking in whatever wrong it is, the first thing that is questioned is her observance of hijab. We're all on our own spiritual journeys to pleasing Allah. The hijab and any other worship is a part of that tool to earn Allahs pleasure. It was never meant as this crown of righteousness or the end goal.

I don't think men understand how much of a test it is to wear hijab everyday. As if we don't look in the mirror everyday & think we would look better without it. Particularly, in the west it's a conscious effort- so y'all can get outta here with that cultural wearing nonsense.

As if those shaytaan whispers won't reach women who observe hijab- maybe I'm not good enough to wear hijab? Essentially that is what it is, the devils whispers.

Please guys, do us favour and shut up about hijab. One of my pet peeves. Whether a girl is wearing or not, just don't comment. It's not your struggle, you won't understand.

Why do you even care about this even if you live in the west? Why is it more "conscious" to you? Why should you care what other people think? Are you trying to please them - mere mortal beings - or Allah (swt)? So it's okay to wear it in Somalia or the Muslim world but in the west THEN it becomes a problem huh?

I don't give a fuck what some pink skinned qaniis thinks of me. I'll still wear my khamis, my macawis and carry my tusbax with pride.

Was not expecting this, especially from you InaSamaale.

Phinks- CHOOSING to cover your awrah for Allah SWTs sake in a world where it's easier to show your hair and wear jeans because that's sadly more accepted isn't easy.

You can't compare covering up in a Muslim country and covering up in the West because the list would be endless.

Yes you are doing it for His sake but does that mean it still isn't a struggle? We are tested in different ways and what might be easy for 1 to do, might be a challenge for another.

There was 1 girl from my ends who got bottled after the Paris attacks. Would that have happened somewhere like Somalia?

And for those who talk as if when a girl wears the hijaab she's supposed to be act like a malaaig you are very ignorant. We are not like the angles who have no free will and obey Allah SWT in all matters. We are insaan and we make errors. The hijaab is supposed to be a reminder to us, so that when we get tempted to sin, we remember that we are wearing a cloth that's a symbol of piety, but sometimes that doesn't always happen because we are HUMAN.

You didn't expect what exactly walaal?

It is harder to wear hijab in the west than say the east or back home. For a number of reasons that Inaayah articulated. It is solely for Allah's sake that one keeps it on in an environment that is the antipathy of hijab.

I am glad you take pride in your identity, in many ways as do I. Some of these issues I have highlighted no longer affect me but they did in my younger years. A platform like this, that shames women for wearing hijab is potentially read by many thousands of young Muslim women. The reason, I wrote in an inclusive manner is because I am able empathise with those still going through their own issues with hijab.

My views are aimed to show men, that this isn't acceptable but also- it is very damaging to any young Muslimah's psyche. I don't think people understand how insidious these remarks of policing hijab are.

You think your scales on the day of judgment will weigh a lot more less with regards to your sins because you were a man? Lol I chuckle in pity.
