I guess that is why almost 100% of Somali men are either Y haplogroup E1b1b1 or T.

But on our maternal mitochondrial dna, we have varying haologroups, infact any random two Somalis are rarely of the same Mtdna haplogroup. I am haplogroup N maternally, it is very common in Socotra and Yemen. So i guess somewhere down the line there was a little carabiyad with a geeljire just chilling in the mii.

@Sahangalbeed, in my town, there is a Somali sister who is married to a Muslim brother from Syria. Maasha'Allaah, they are happily married, have children, and that brother whenever he sees me, he says to me Asalaama Alaikum. I, for one, have no problem Somali women marrying Muslim men irrespective of nationality, provided that it is a marriage done for the sake of Allah. They know each other. He is not just an ex-convict who just want to have a home that he takes a shelter, but real man who would take care of her and treat her the best that he can.

Not sure the poor taste that you referred here, but people discussing marriage can never be a poor taste. Truth is, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has encouraged us to marry. This is how you can avoid the many sins that are present in this world. Marriage life is the best when you take it very seriously.
