The Job Hunting Thread

Postby AnigaiyoAdiga » Wed Mar 30, 2016 2:27 am

Hi all,

This thread is for anyone who is looking work. I thought we could help each other. Basically say what kind of job you're looking for, where and people will give you advice /tips. Include qualifications if you want. You could also just have a rant about the jobcentre lol.

Starting with aniga:
I'm looking for a part time job in the charity sector. I'd like to help ex - offenders (first choice), people with mental health issues, young people with behavioural problems, refugees.

Who I don't want to help: people with learning disabilities, women who have experienced sexual violence.

Qualifications: A Levels and a BA in Social Work which I left half way through.

My first useful thread . I want a certificate.

I don't like you. You seem to have an issue with me. It started with the masturbation. Don't hate on me just because you can't please yourself. Anyway i've put you on ignore so don't bother replying.

Fyi, I already work for a charity. It's my last day. :?

Hey AniyoAdiga Huuno take it easy and don't mind Granny but do heed her sensible and prudent advice even if though she sometimes annoying like flies on starving kids in 3rd world countries and she maybe a party pooper but she is that sane conscious that keeps on reminding us of the straight and narrow and keeps us from going of the rails. If it wasn't for Granny and people like... well who knows I could have been one your clients you know the ex-offender with mental health problems (Alxmdlilaah Alle naga ma dhigo) .

But seriously Granny is one of very very few people that I actually listen to though I hate it when she right.

Great thread

I've got a 5 year plan and I'm currently looking to get into the I.T. field. At the moment I'm studying for a couple of I.T. certificates. The first one being A+. It's a basic, entry-level certificate that shows employers you can fix the most common computer problems. Here are the two books I'm using to study it.

Image

Once I pass this I'll start applying for Helpdesk support jobs, they pay is a basic 18k salary and it involves getting abuse over the phone or crawling under people's dirty desks, but it's where most people in the I.T. field start off with. Next up will be cisco certificates. Here's my computer I build after few weeks studying A+.

I don't get your first sentence.

I became mentally unwell. Social Work was not right for me anyway. I need a social worker and funnily enough, I might get assigned one on Friday.
