There is a drought every couple of years..this should be a wake up call. Foreign aid is poison we need to learn to do without it. If they actually want to help Somalis out they should investing in technology and innovation which leads to self-sufficiency provide them with machinery storage and processing facilities. Provide Somalis with resources to protect themselves from Iranians, Chinese and Yemeni vessels that plunder their seas.

^^^It's not my solution .. I said if donors "actually"wanted to help that is what they should be doing.

My solution is extreme ..and not sensible or realistic. Leaders should be held accountable for each death. They should be charged with criminal negligence causing death. That would deter future leaders from ignoring the issue and relying on handouts.

Somali leaders are unaccountable to their people.
Rolling back this failed state designation is the key.
Unfortunately it's not gonna happen in the foreseeable future. :)
