first of all,i didnt say mogadishu is located on the equator i said it is located near the equator and that is a fact it is 200 km from the eq and that average yearly temperature of 25-26 is Mild plus the amount of rain mogadishu experiences which is crazy nowdays,it is even raining in april which is supposed to be summer.

might be you need to care about your starving people or those dying in high seas than what the typical mogadishu weather is.

Mogadishu has a semi- arid tropical climate aka Steppe Climate with long wet seasons and short dry seasons.Being close to the Equator and the Oceanic Breeze of the indian ocean are factors which has to be taken into consideration Thus Making the Mogadishu City Climate favorable Most of the Year around. from May to February, there are a mix of wet rainy seasons,very mild seasons and august to december being the wettest. In between there is gradual transition. From March to April, Mogadishu Hottest temperatures recorded was 30 which is the hottest months in the city.
The mean temperature in the city year around in 25C With an average minimum of 24 C and average Max temperature of 28 .The lowest temperature recorded are 17 C.
Precipitation per year averages 539.2 millimetres There are over 67 wet days annually, which are associated with a 18.4% daily probability of rainfall.
