Tahriib.
Never thought of that. That's some sad shit. When I was in Somaliand, I saw billboards telling young people not to tahriib. What can we do as a diaspora to stop this tragic phenomenen?

Nothing we can do will ever change their stand.
We can all act as we live in idealist world and say good things
like diaspora investing or starting business to employ people. But
it will never be enough. Our government is weak and corrupted having
zero vision Berbera corridor is pending for like 10 years and still is not operational.
The upgrade of Berbera port will probably take 3 years just to choose an operate, we're very unproductive people
who can't utilize their youth. I saw that video about a group of people in Cairo saying AUN to the 200 dead Somalis but
still insisting on going again soon. Those youth probably don't eat khat and stay idle like those who are ok with staying back
home, a greater loss as they have a lot more to give back. But in reality what happens is 2 things:
1- Getting there, stay on on welfare and accumulating hagbad.
Sending few back home mostly wasted on Khat or buying land, building houses malls etc..
while rising the price of land on the locals and contributing zero factual or tangible investment.
2- Die trying.
None is in the best interest of the people & country.
