If you are being mugged by somebody without a gun and they aren't yet in easy reach of you, shout FIRE! If you just yell for help, nobody will know what to do, and if you shout that you're being attacked not too many are going to willing step in and risk their own safety. Fires always attract more attention in case somebody helpful comes along.
