I am not kidding but a significant number of kids born here are suffering from these issues. It makes you wonder why them and not their cousins who are born and raised overseas

Idiots! Educate yourselves about childhood immunization. You are doing more harm to your children (and others) by not vaccinating them. MMR is much safer now than back in the 90s, when a pseudo-scientist in Britain made up a "study" linking autism with MMR vaccine. His study was debunked - no scientific merit, no correlation between autism and MMR.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/25/healt ... .html?_r=0
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2831678/
Do you know who conducted these so called tests into the link between autism and vaccines?

I find it funny that you call others "idiots" when you are the real idiot! here.

Imagine I put out a pill that caused severe mental damage and then because I feared backlash did a study financed from my own pocket to make it appear that the issue was not from my pill. This is exactly what is happening here, and moron golums like you cannot see that.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/big-pharma ... dy/5389643

All of the studies are funded by government (ultimately bank and big corporation) money. The main study that debunked the so called link was the one done by the CDC, you know the same CDC that had whistle blowers linking vaccines to autism especially in black boys.

http://healthimpactnews.com/2015/will-c ... -congress/

By the way NCBI is also government funded.

The point here is that no one is disputing vaccines as a science, but it is becoming clear that there are certain eugenic ideas being spread within this supposedly benevolent health service to help mankind. If you do not think eugenicists rank in high and powerful places in this world then you are truly a retard who needs a slap back into reality. Why do you think kids are taught the theory of evolution and the survival of the fittest? It is to promote social darwinism so that weaklings take order from idiots whom no one gave the authority, except by cowards who trust everything authority, science and government gives them like you! The only true authority is GOD!

I'm on the fence with the whole to vaccine/ or to not. Good topic. There are compelling arguements for both sides.

When you hear all these mothers, from different parts of the globe, swearing that their child made noticeable changes post the vaccination, then I'm inclined to not disregard that. Experts say, it takes roughly 18 months for the autism symptoms to become noticeable. However, I'm sure a mother would know beforehand, if her child is reaching the expected developmental milestones.

Giving credence to Healthimpactnews.com, a Sophia Media LLC subsidiary, and non-medical staff contributors should give anyone a pause in correlating a linkage between MMR and autism (ASD.)

The methodology used, and I will spare you folks all abstract analysis, was comparing siblings with and without ASD that were administered MMR.
ASD status in index children and older siblings was determined using a claims-based algorithm with a positive predictive value of 87%17 that required 2 or more claims on separate dates of service with an International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) diagnosis code in any position for autistic disorder, other specified pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) including Asperger syndrome, or unspecified PDD (299.0x, 299.8x, and 299.9x). Both index child and older sibling ASD status were determined using their entire enrollment time that fell within the study period. Index children had to have at least 1 older sibling with 2 claims with ASD diagnoses or all older siblings with no ASD diagnoses. Children with an older sibling with only 1 claim with an ASD diagnosis were excluded. Index children with only 1 claim with an ASD diagnosis were also excluded.
Results: Not what fringe websites and peripheral doctors would have hoped for:
Of 95 727 children with older siblings, 994 (1.04%) were diagnosed with ASD and 1929 (2.02%) had an older sibling with ASD. Of those with older siblings with ASD, 134 (6.9%) had ASD, vs 860 (0.9%) children with unaffected siblings (P < .001). MMR vaccination rates (≥1 dose) were 84% (n = 78 549) at age 2 years and 92% (n = 86 063) at age 5 years for children with unaffected older siblings, vs 73% (n = 1409) at age 2 years and 86% (n = 1660) at age 5 years for children with affected siblings. MMR vaccine receipt was not associated with an increased risk of ASD at any age. For children with older siblings with ASD, at age 2, the adjusted relative risk (RR) of ASD for 1 dose of MMR vaccine vs no vaccine was 0.76 (95% CI, 0.48-1.22; P = .25), and at age 5, the RR of ASD for 2 doses compared with no vaccine was 0.56 (95% CI, 0.30-1.04; P = .07). For children whose older siblings did not have ASD, at age 2, the adjusted RR of ASD for 1 dose was 0.91 (95% CI, 0.68-1.20; P = .50) and at age 5, the RR of ASD for 2 doses was 1.09 (95% CI, 0.76-1.54; P = .65).
What the study suggests is that, administering of MMR did not increase risk of ASD even if older siblings had ASD (precursor to autism.)

One can deduce that environmental (during pregnancy) or genetics (dealt the wrong chromosomes of life) plays prominent role in determining which child gets ASD. MMR is not a covariate of ASD.

Jabuutaawi ... good

The notion of a vaccine(s) causing autism and other ills is preposterous!!! Wakefield’s study has been found to be nonsense. Conspiracy theories are just conspiracies.

It is like the somali nonsense of outsourcing claims; gaal ayaa ka dambeeyey. Jahuud baa ka dambeeysay!

The question is; why is there is a rise in autism and other developmental conditions in the somali communities in the diaspora? Or rightly, is there an increase at all?

Plausible explanations:
-Back in Somalia- Africa- due to the lack of healthcare facilities potential autistic children were NEVER born. Natural abortions(miscarriages) ; call it to the tentacles of evolutions in the womb. Yeah, the unfit do not survive.
-In the diaspora, health facilities mean sometimes there is a survival of the “unfit”; my apologies for using this term but in evolutionary term, it actually mean defying the odds.

Now, there are conditions that are termed as developmental related; Asperger syndrome, ADHD and others, which maybe behavioral rather than biological. The science underlying their diagnosis is not solid. These “diseases” syndromes etc could be just transitional behavioral issues, some have argued.

There is no causality - not even a link!

There are several ongoing studies on the issue of autism. Some prior studies have suggested lack of vitamin D as a possible culprit. These are mainly small studies. One study that could be promising is to look at the link between drugs/medicine taken by the mom during pregnancy. Similar to Talidomid in the 1960s which resulted in deformities; many women who took drugs for morning sickness - walac/hestimo- to avoid matag bore children with severe deformities.

Horta wax kastaa waa qadarta illaahay, waxaan rumaysanahay ilmahu meeshuu doono haku dhashee hadii illaahay u qoray xanuun inuu ku dhacayo.
MMR sanad kasta imisa caruur ah ayaa lagu mudaa, hadana percentage aad u yar ayaa autistic noqda illaahay amarkii.
Markaas miyeynu odhan karnaa MMR baa sababtay xanuunka.
Waayo haday sabab u tahay MMR tu maxay caruurta lagu muday u wada noqon weyday autistic.

There is definitely something going on here. Almost every Somali family that have kids born here has one autistic child, and it's become more frequent in newer family. You are seeing families of about one in four kids that have autism for newer families. You just don't see that in Africa. I have a lot of siblings born there and none of them have autism. What the fuck is going on?
