I luv Ramadan the peacefulness and just concentrating on illhay and walking to tarawahi is great wouldn't give up for the world..
Only 4 Ramadan that I haven't fasted due to pregnancy I will have to make up
Honestly I think you should fast it will do you good.. I don't think your dismissed under the mental health because you can tell night from day.. if you have any pills take then during suhur.. good luck sis
Me too. Btw it'a not about the medication. I am gonna come off them anyway. I have to think it through. It all depends on what the doctor says. If he/she says it's not advisable, I won't. Last time, I tried to fast even though I was ill. I fasted on the days I wasn't so ill. Laakin it didn't make sense considering the day before I was really sick and gettng picked up by the police cos i was 'being mentally disordered in a public place' and getting taken to regular/psych. hospital for assessments etc. Mental health is a lot more difficult than physical health when it comes to knowing whether you are excused from fasting or not.
Anywho, one day I went to A and E. I think it was for a physical health problem and doc was like you shouldn't be fasting cos of your mental health. At the end of the day, if a doctor says you shouldn't fast, as far as I am aware, islamically, you should listen to the doc.
With my illness, things are constantly changing. One day I can be really ill e.g. getting picked up by popo as I said before and the next day I am great.
I hope that makes sense.
Proof:
Sometimes mental illnesses sound 'soft' but they aren't.
