Some of you guys think like Marie Antoinette, "if they can't afford bread, why can't they just eat cakes". Most of us would have followed their footsteps if we were in their shoes.

What intrigues me about this issue is why did the Salafi scholars preach individual women need mahrim to travel? if that's the case, why are the Saudi scholars accepting these unaccompanied women? How about the Somali Salafi scholars? Why are they silent on the issue? I've seen tons of videos of them preaching about this issue? Does it only apply to Muslim women anywhere and not (Muslim foreigners) in Saudi Arabia?
