Sxb it's a loaded question that implies a none hijabi's believe in Islam should be questioned or at the very least have a ? On it.

We all agree that the hijab is a must in Islam so all am concerned with is the attitude of seef la bood.

What's the equivalent outward appearance for a man that shows his mu'minnimo?

Khamis?
Beard?
Tusbax?
Surwaal gaaban?

CAN A NON HIJABI BE RELIGIOUS...is as loaded as a question can be. That's one step away from questioning whether they are Muslim at all.

I always think :wtf: when they say "i'm not ready" they are infact saying i am not ready to obey Allah at the moment. Maybe some time down the line

Go and walk around with khamiis ruugagga kuu jooga iyo cimaamad for a week, then you'll understand.

If a man does not cover from his navel to the knee; he cant not be a mu'min. nobody questioned their islamnimo or even suggest anything lose to that. all i am saying is,she cant be a mu'min if she cant obey one of the major commands from the god that she claims to worship.
A Muslim is a person who has come under the arena of Islam and believes its doctrines. A Mumin is a Muslim with higher degree of belief, with his/her heart having the fear of God and always abiding by the teachings of Quran. Thus, every Mumin is a Muslim but not every Muslim is a Mu'min.

So, A high degree of belief and fear in one's heart and obedience to Allah can simply be determined by a quick glance?

Something is lost in translation, as I still believe no one can go as far as questioning a whole person's quality and traits by reducing them into one thing. I am by no mean diminishing the importance in hijab but the way people go about discussing the subject, is superficial.

That part you highlighted is good enough to indict all non hijabi in here. You past the head and went directly into their heart and whether they have any space for Allah.

meel beynu iska dhaafsaney. Selection quotation is very dangerous. What's even more important than quoting the Quran, is knowing how to best put the message across without sounding like one is morally superior to "put them (non hijabis) in their place" .

Illaah SWT u dhaafa inuu ahaado Al-Hakiim Wal Khaadhi qofkii mu'min ah iyo kan ahayn siduu nagu Yidhi. Kan aan ahayn Haddii aanu ka mid nahay, ha nagu soo hadeeyo Siratul mustaqiim. We became a society obsessed in judging our women, while we men destroy, kill, maim, rob one another, starve the weak to death and made millions of maatida refugees or internally displaced living like stray dogs, all on the name of our clans. Let's put our priorities of following Allah's commands in-order and leave the judgement of who is a mu'min and who isn't to Allah SWT.

So from the outside, every man (Muslim) is mu'min?
where did you get that from? no, every man who covers his cawrah isnt mu'min.
A Mumin is a Muslim with higher degree of belief, with his/her heart having the fear of God and always abiding by the teachings of Quran
So, A high degree of belief and fear in one's heart and obedience to Allah can simply be determined by a quick glance?
YES, if a women doesnt wear hijaab she obviously does not obey allah's command. you can say the same, if a man is drinking or gambling.

give it up sxb, you are wrong on this one. good night.

The Mu'mun term. According to the quote you first highlighted, is very clear. But it's usage has been split into two. One for xalimos and one for faraxs. The deciding factor for a xalimos mu'minimo is the xijab. And for men you said is covering from the navel to below the knee. Then you said it's not just that, but if he drinks his not a mu'min.

So a farax has to drink to be labelled 'not a mu'min', and xalimo has to be without a hijab to be in the same league as a drinking farax?

The implication and true meaning of that quote is more than just confining it to one thing.

How does that apply to a non hijabi xalimo as opposed to a drinking farax?

What if she is wearing hijab with tight pants? Is maanshallah from the front and :lawd: from the back

Your frist question, both of them arent biding by the teaching of the quran. therefor, you cant say they are mu'miniin.

Second one, hijab isnt only to cover hair.
“O Prophet! Say to your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that: they should let down upon themselves their jalabib.”

What is the meaning of “jalabib”?
Jalabib جَلاَبِيْبٌ is the plural of jilbabجِلْبَابٌ , which means a loose outer garment. See any Arabic dictionary like Lisanu ’l-‘Arab, Majma‘u ’l-Bahrayn or al-Munjid.

Al-Munjid, for instance, defines jilbab as “the shirt or a wide dress—القميص أو الثوب الواسع.” While al-Turayhi, in Majma‘u ’l-Bahrayn, defines it as “a wide dress, wider than the scarf and shorter than a robe, that a woman puts upon her head and lets it down on her bosom...”5

This means that the Islamic dress code for women does not only consist of a scarf that covers the head, the neck and the bosom; it also includes the overall dress that should be long and loose.

So, for instance, the combination of a tight, short sweater with tight-fitting jeans with a scarf over the head does not fulfill the requirements of the Islamic dress code .
If you still do not get it, talk to sheikh jiilaani lol.

You didn't have to quote the Quran again. My issue is not what the Quran say but rather how we interpret and select certain rulings.

The question was....Can a hijabi be religious? Not what the hijab means and how it goes beyond covered hair.... like you said above
hijab isnt only to cover hair.
Yet this whole discussion and every topic about the hijab is....like I said before....superficial.

No point keep going back and forth, so let me say it again. And this not to you necessarily but in general...

It is absolutely meaningless to quote the Quran if one cannot stay true/ or do justice to the spirit of the message. It shouldn't be used as a whip for seef labood to sooth their sense of superior morality or to 'put them in their place'.

Religious
Mu'min

We take words and run with it to fit into our own argument.

Anyway, enough talk of malkhamad iyo ganbo for today

spot the difference. ...two mothers saying both the same thing but differently

naa madaxa qaawan waa ceeb
and
naa madaxa qaawan waa dambi/haram
