You are confusing Wahabbi and the salaf.
Wahabbi is what was invented by Mohamed ibn Abdulwahab in 1703–1792. He started a revivalist movement in the remote, sparsely populated region of Najd. He is what most irhaabi groups follow.

Salaf and Wahabbi are different.
Salaf = followers of prophet scw
Wahabbi = Followers of Mohamed ibn Abdulwahab

Also salafi and salaf are different.
Salaf= first 3 generations of Muslims after the prophet scw

The Prophet said, "The best people are those of my generation, and then those who will come after them (the next generation), and then those who will come after them (i.e. the next generation), and then after them, there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths, and whose oaths will precede their witness."

Afars and Eritrean Muslims are more integrated with Yemenis than Somalis, especially, in the north side of Yemen. As for Somalis, the ones who intermarried with Yemenis live in the Southern part of the country in Aden area.

Now, since the war against the Houthis is taking place mostly in the Northern part of the country, one can only assume that this Muslima has her roots in Afar or Eritrean tribes. Or perhaps she is a Yemeni black Muslim.

Anyhow, Houthis are resilient group of people to the point where they force the Saudi to start negotiating with them.

Still very sad how that poor country was destroyed by the despotic Gulf regimes and the sectarian Rafida rulers in Iran.
