I find it funny that people struggle with fasting for just a few hours until sunset. You might not believe me but I once went 21 days without eating anything but only drank water. I lost 15 kg by the end, that was more humbling than you can imagine!

What do you think fat reserves are for? Most people can survive for about 2 to 3 months and maybe even more without food, as long as they have water. Once fat reserves run out, the body will go into starvation mode and start to break down vital organs, but it takes time to get to that stage. The human body is truly an incredible design, and Allah is the best of designers!

The body goes into ketosis (burning fat mode) and starts to repair damaged cells and rejuvenate diseased areas. Fasting is a natural cure, and for ramadan we should ideally not even be eating that much at Afur time, but consuming light high water content food like water melons and various kinds of fruits. Then you will In shaa Allah get the full benefits of Ramadan, along with the spiritual and emotional healing haddii Alle idmo!

It will clean out your body and make you healthy if you do not have any pre existing conditions like diabetes. It purges emotional issues and purifies the body.

Very bad move, you probably lost most if not all your muscle mass.
The body has this strange tendency to breakdown muscle tissues for energy
even if you had enough fat cells. Only heavy lifting can preserve muscle during starvation
or strict diet a thing I don't think it's available in Somalia.

Inayaah it seems fasting takes a lot from you.
Eat a lot of peanuts in Suxur, it's very healthy and fill you day round.

Not at all, the body does break down muscle mass for the first few days, but after a certain point, usually around the 4th day it starts to exclusively break down fat/scar tissue.

My strength is still the same, I can bench up to 100kg, no change there, so how on Earth have I lost most of my muscle mass? You think this because you have very little understanding how clever the human body is!

Apparently not. It happened to me personally. I've had a mild tonsillitis viral infection that made me lose appetite
and moody 4 years ago. Instead of going to the pharmacy or rest (had history with this infection and often goes away by itself) I went to
the beach and walk/run. Kept doing that without eating anything, just drinking water and tea for well over a month. End up going to ER and staying in hospital for 2 days.

The surprise is when I come out, I've become so lean and soft. I've could see a big difference when contacting biceps/triceps muscle.
Than I knew cutting calories suddenly and doing cardio results on releasing more Cortisol burning a lot of muscles. That's my experience
what is yours?
