Why do people say Mudug accent is what written Somali is based on?

Postby JamalAddow » Sun Jul 10, 2016 6:16 pm

Just heard it today and its no different than the Qaldaan accent. Mudug, Proper Bari, Waqooyi, Galbeed aka Galti, Abgaal and Xamari are all Qaldaan accents. While proper Somali is based on Warsengeli aka Western Bari/Sanaag, Karkaar aka Southern Bari, Nugaal, Murusade/Hawadle aka Hiiraan/Ceelbuur, Reer Waamo and Gedo. Basically the niggas that can't gabay have the best accents.

My definition of Qaldaan accent is like when its too hard like Mudug and Waqooyi, or too soft like Bari and Xamari. It has been to be in the middle.
