I know a lot of Somali girls have turned Candho speeches into fortune but I did not know it will earn them Doctorate Degrees. If you want to end a Somali practice, what's the point of running to cadaans with your BS? You just reinforce this colonial image of the black "savages" who need whites to come and "civilise" them. In the US and Canada, we haven't seen anyone running with it lately, so it seems the funding has dried down. But in Europe, it seems there are non-profit groups still milking the system. Somalis don't care about name, honour, as long as they can reap the benefits, no matter how small it is, from that campaign. It is all about getting funding.
