Lama,

We like winners not sorry azz NGO mentality.

Olympics' history is about winning, life and death. It was a gladiator game.

lama, the problem is that Somalia sends unqualified athletes. There's nothing wrong with finishing last but you must calculate your runners' ability and what's expected from such a runner. I ddnt see this time, but the last time in Olympics was so bad even late night us tv shows were making fun of that poor girl and Somalia that nite.

very embarrassing: mrgreen:

I wonder why they dnt try long distance where East Afrjcans dominate!
It is really simple. We don't have the muscle fiber and the quick twitch that these West African Bantu descendants have. We are more suited for long distance running. I think Somali athletes should compete @ 1500m. That is where Abdi Bile won couple times.

But don't expect Somali leaders or sport committee to understand this simple fact. Let them keep sending these poor girls for the world to laugh at.

Also the girl only started training specifically for this event just one month prior to the Olympic. These people clearly don't know what they are doing

It is not her fault. She tried her best. Blame the donkeys that sent this ill trained girl and planted in front of thousands against world class runners. The end result was clear from the get go

Lamagoodle, I completely disagree that it's just "an amateur event". So what? Countries spend billions on their athletes. In fact, the UK is only doing so well disproportionately to it's size because of the huge funding the government provided in the run-up to the London Olympics. You are also being unfair to the athletes. Can you find a runner faster than Using Bolt or a Swimmer better than Michael Phelps? These were born with a genetic lottery, but they also clock-in hundreds and thousands of hours of training and physical conditioning. I think one time Michael Phelps even trained for over 1800 consecutive days. You are being completely unfair to athletes who dedicated their lives to physical endurance and skill.

This girl is innocent. She, like the reputation of Somalia, is a victim of the calooshood-ushaqeysteyaal in Xamar who embezzle the funds and Aid donated by organisations such as IOC/UN and send some village girl with no training or preparation to represent the country. These fckers should be lined up and shot.

it also shows they lack common sense since no east African can compete in sprint races. They should've trained for the endurance sports like marathons, long-distance running, rowing and cycling.
