Holiday destinations

Postby Lamagoodle » Sat Aug 13, 2016 10:59 pm

So where did you go?

I strongly recommend a month long holiday to Vietnam. The busy and lively cities ; Hanoi, Ho chi min (Saigon) and the dozens of others. Take the "Hồ Chí Minh trail":

+
History
The food and drinks are xaax
The xaawaleeys :lawd:
The people are great (no grudge) -although very few speak English
The price is cheap. An excellent meal and drinks costs less than 10 dollars.

-
-too crowded
- vice is spread
- The smell of poverty
-Dangerous roads

Next year, Peru (mountains); imagine a month living outside the realm of modernity !!

Back to work on Monday.

I love Turkey, LJ. I am planning to buy an apartment in that country. It is clean and more organised than countries in western Europe. Next time, I recommend a trip outside the hyped holiday destinations; Anatoliya(heartland) is great.

Weligaa Asia ma tagtay? Not Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong-kong, china but Burma/Cambodia/Vietnam and Thailand? Waa iskaabulo u roon.

Sannadka dambe waa Peru.

Istanbul/Ankara; 3 bedroom apt 100 000-150 000 US dollars. Very cheap. In other towns, 50-70 000 will buy you a house.

Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia waa good work destinations ; I have been to all over south Asia. Laakin Vietnamn, Burma, Cambodia and Vietnam were holiday destinations fiican.

P.s Brexit iyo dadka maxaa kala haaysta? Houses will be very cheap in the UK. Faqrinimo ayaa ku soo socota.

I heard a lot of good things about Vietnam. I heard it's clean too.

How can you eat their stinky food tho?

Viet food smells rotten.

I don't there's even Halal options.

Actually, Vietnam has great cuisine; you avoid the street food (unless you want to experiment) and eat in restaurants.

Like all parts of Asia, there are some local dishes which many might find disgusting; Even Singapore/Hong kong ( I tasted a fresh snake) have some cuisines that would make you vomit.

It is all about cash and where you dine. In Vietnam there are French restaurants (benchmark) and local restaurants that cater to tourists.

You could also try the Condiment dishes and the Bánh cuốn (Shrimp)

If you are brave enough try the BALUT (fertilised egg/embryo of a duck/chicken .

You guys are #vacationgoals lol No other way to word it.

I hope to be able to do things like that. For now, it's been all inclusives in central america and trips around Africa (I've so far been to Djibouti, Nairobi, Addis, Arusha, Dar, Zanzibar, Lubumbashi) and of course going around SLand...Not too exotic here yet lol. With a good budget, you live very well and are catered to so I think that's great in and of it's own since I like the 5 star within Africa (Sheratons and Kempenski resorts) style.

lol Actually yes, but I don't like it.

I was so surprised to see how many Somalis are there!

I plan to go to Uganda next. I hate the idea, but I really want to see the Somalis there. Apparently we're living nice. ;)

TBH Most I saw were merchants, opening shops for goods and materials, like you see in South Africa. My business takes me around, and it always leads me to new Somali pockets lol

We are not a beggar nation, and walahi it makes me proud that wherever I go in Africa it isn't us who fill the streets. We make do with what we have and strive for more. Alhamdulillah.

It's the lazies in the west who realize they don't have to work that ruin our image lol

Yeah Somalis in Africa and the Gulf are cut from a different cloth. They're very hardworking and entrepreneurial.
