Somalis in Minnisota don't play walle
K'naan came with HBO to make a movie about terrorism (aka exploitation). They wanted young men and women to audition for terrorist roles however a crowd came and kicked everyone out. People got pepper sprayed and fights broke out. It was madness.

Somalis here have always been a low key community but the Captain Phillips movie and now this terror one has brought us into mainstream spotlight and not for a good reason. Kudos to reer Minnesota, chase the greedy bastard out of town.

As if this will make any difference. They will still make the movie and use west africans to play somali
so what did this little qaxooti-behaviour achieve.
If Somalis really feel strongly about Hollywood portraying them negatively why not make your own movie? Then you can dictate how the civilized somali should be portrayed.
