It's unfair.

Men should be obligated to tell their potential wives if they are married or have kids with another woman. It's unfair to the woman for the man to hide something that could have affected her decision. An idiot hid that he was married until his new wife got pregnant. The poor wife had a miscarriage bcz of the shock and stress. they lost the baby and now he is about to lose her as she is asking her warqad.

What a fool. That's deceit. Is the marriage contract even viable under false pretences?

How does a woman marry a man & that crucial info doesn't come out during background checks though? Guur is usually the time all sorts of strange hadal come out.
When you're getting to know someone isn't the understanding that you're both transparent about your lives? I feel like the obligation is already there but some folks will always be dishonest.

^ his second wife is in Kenya she got two kids for him. She said his family and friends didn't tell me anything. what I don't get, is how come she never saw him talking to them or mentioning them? You spent one day with me and you will definitely know about my kids lol ... The culama should issue fatwa about this.

Like Bella said, I thought the beauty of being Somali is we could get all the info on someone up front before we make an investment like marriage, soomaha. It's nearly impossible to hide that you have children in the same city, let alone in a far away land. If so, perhaps the lady wasn't well connected. I find that hard to believe.

If he was from a laandheer family, she would've found out before she said I do. This is what happens when you marry nin aan la aqoon.
Seriously tho, Faraxs think it ok to just marry multiple women without giving a second thought about the repercussions. I believe that, It takes a special type nicca to handle a multiple wives. Women need patience, lots of it, and most Faraxs are known to be trigger happy geeljires, shoot first and ask questions later type Faraxs.

You've gotta be kidding. We have contacts, the world over. I have family friends and relatives in just about every country. They know people, that know people. If I wanted the dirt I could attain it without incident. Ring up hooyo or habo, and I'll get details before sundown (maghrib). I can find any Somali without incident. Especially if the person in question is reer borama or reer waqooyi, it should be even easier to gather data. There are people that don't even know that I know of them. Don't be scared. I'm not one to leak intel. Mum is the word.
Maybe I'm slicker than your average.

Same country or not someone will know your family name. Soomaalida wey is wada garanaysa. Plus tolkisa iyo tolkeeda meyna wada hadlin marki la doonanayeey? Meel cidla ah mey iska mehersaden? Wax aqoon loo lahaynin mey guursatay?
Both of them are to blame. He should have been honest and she should have thought about his character before jumping on the wagon of being a marwo.
