I wasn't born in Somalia or grew up there which means I didn't go to somali schooling.But I do understand the somali language so why can't I understand Arabic I mean it's the somali peoples language I've been to Somalia and Arabic basically surrounds the country most are muslims and follow the islam religion so why can't I understand Arabic?

The Somali language has alot of Arabic loanwords, a lot. If you put an effort into it, you can learn it. It's not a difficult language.
