They're a Syrian volunteer group made up of different skilled individuals that help with rescue works after bombings. That crying guy who saved the baby and made news all over last couple weeks? He's one.

What's wrong with them?

They're agents for regime change. Formed and funded initially by a British mercenary James Le Mesurier. They are Part of the information war in Syria. They're well funded and they've been accused of being embedded only with the "moderate rebels" and Al-Qaeda. Never in government areas.

There's also another group by the same name called the Syrian Civil Defense Forces. They were formed in 1953 and work in government areas with WHO, UN, Red Cross and Red Crescent but they're hampered by the international sanctions.

The White Helmets have received more than $70M from NATO countries:

$23M from USAID.

Holland and Japan has funded them too.

So we're looking at close to $70M for the White Helmets.

And there's countless videos of them embedded with Al-Nusra fighters... and Al-Nusra fighters wearing White Helmets gear.

Don't mean to be insensitive but after a year it becomes an information overload just like the Somalia crisis and viewer apathy begins set least in my case. Than again I barely watch mundane cable news channels and stick to Bloomberg.

I did wonder how Western media managed to fawn for weeks over what is mainly Arab, Muslim group. Well, this makes sense, as usual there's an agenda behind their "humanitarian" funding.
