somalis had some anti-sea culture, looked down to the fish and sea jobs

there were other somali classes that lived in the coastal area. jaaji were living in the coastal north banadir from ceelmacaan at kaaran to xarar dhdheere

i have met one of them and he told me that somalis now marry from them bc they started doing the same jobs kkk

but during the egyptian/turkish rule of the coastal north they made local sultans to cooperate with them

so when the british and the french arrived these sultans were in charge of the coastal area.
Jaaji still live and are the only people who fish in Hobyo.

They are not found in Harardheere becouse its inland about 20 km from the sea , if you eat fish in Hobyo, and other HG coastal towns your automatically become midgaan jaaji, HG who live in the coast are xoolo dhaqato, fish and whoever eats it are look down and discriminated, hawiye as a whole don't eat fish, unlike Daarood jeberti who always use to fish and eat like jaaji.

It's actually not a bad idea considering how almost all world trade happens on the high seas and access to the ocean is one of the greatest economic advantageous available to a country. But to build major coastal cities would require quantum leap in the imagination of the Somali and I dubious about that happening in my lifetime.
